A night in the park

My sister, sarah is in the hospital because of complications with her pregnancy. Please pray for her during this time, I know it is tough for her physically and emotionally. Sarah, I love you soo soo much!! Please take comfort in knowing that our thoughts and prayers are with you.

We went to the park tonight with Gramma, Grandpa, Uncle Ry, Aunt Rach, Justin, Johnathan and Audrey. It was quite an experience because JJ and Audrey had never been to Annie's Playground before. There eyes lit up when they saw everything that the park had to offer and Johnathan just jumped right in, exclaiming that he knew exactly what he wanted to do first. Which was, to climb up to the top of the tower and slide down the tallest slide in the park. Audrey however was a little bit shy and it took her a walk around the park to figure out if it was for her. She decided it was. She loved the swings and we even got her to go down the slide all by herself. She was very proud of herself and clapped each time she made it safely to the bottom.
After the park we went for a special treat to the snowball stand. JJ picked out Garfield and Audrey decided on the Little Mermaid. Grandpa ordered a creamsicle snowball which was shared with JJ and he proclaimed, "Grandpa, that tastes just like my Garfield!" I think Johnathan has discovered one of the snowball stands many secrets...

Birthday Party Time!

Johnathan's birthday party was on saturday, he was quite the cutie--I can't believe he is 5! The years sure have gone by fast...I will never forget the day I first met him-he stole my heart from the first time I heard he was coming into our family. I am so proud of who he is turning into, his heart is so big for such a tiny little boy. I love him soooo much!!!

Old Friends

There are some friends that you can just pick up with right where you left off...the friends that know you're quirks and you wonder how you get along without them. I hung out with Sacha and Deb tonight-it was definitely a reunion because all three of us haven't been together in one place for over a year. We had an amazing cookout, with burgers, corn on the cob, pasta salad and topped off with margaritas. Some people are just irreplaceable. =)
Dinner was followed by an amazing dessert otherwise known as goodnight kisses from Justin. An all around pretty good day.

O's game

We were invited to go to an O's game tonight with Brian and Brea, we had a great time and the seats were perfect!! (Thanks to Brian's mom) We were right on the 1st base line, basically perfect for scaring the poop out of me when a foul ball was hit. Don't worry, Justin protected me. =) It was good to catch up with them and hear about all of the new things in their lives.

Redemption

Today started out as a pretty good day: I decided to take 695 to work to see if it is faster in the mornings and God just gave me an incredible gift as I drove into what seemed like another long day at work.

A rainbow. I was listening to Starfield's, "Everything is Beautiful" just as I saw it and I was struck by how amazing God's promises to us are. They are revealed through something as amazing as a rainbow. I felt like God put that rainbow, right there in my path, just to show me how much He loves me.

"Everything is beautiful, even when the tears are falling, I don't need a miracle to believe. Even in the crashing down, I can hear redemption calling and everything is beautiful to me."

I was convicted of how easily I fall away from trusting God and his perfect plan for my life.
